Director of EEBE

Adriana Farran is a PhD in Chemical Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), since 1985 she has taught in subjects of degree and master’s degree : the degree and the master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, the degree in Engineering in Industrial Technologies, the degree in Naval Engineering and Systems Engineering, and the Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, in different centers of the University -in ETSEIB, the FNB, the ETSECCPB and the EEBE-, in some of which it has Coordinating state of these subjects.

She has held different positions in the field of university management: she has been the academic secretary of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the UPC (July 2008 – June 2011), department she has directed since July 2011.

As a researcher, she is part of the Recovery of Resources and Environmental Management research group (R2EM) and the Center for Research in Science and Multi-Scale Engineering of Barcelona (CRnE). She has participated in 12 competitive research projects and has published more than 55 articles in international journals. She has also directed six doctoral theses in the field of the environment, specifically in the recovery and treatment of waste and environmental analysis.
